About Us

Our Mission

You Know Your Business Can Do More.

Most small and mid-sized businesses aren't held back by their people — they're held back by the way work gets done. Tasks that should take minutes take hours. Handoffs break down. Decisions stall because nobody knows what's happening.

That's not a people problem. It's a systems problem. And it's fixable.

Mosaic exists to fix it — as your advisor, your builder, and a partner who only wins when you do.

Our Story

Founded In Real Client Work

Businesses need someone who's done the work — not just studied it.

Drew Bloom began as an automation consultant and became a go-to AI advisor for law firms operating in complex, high-stakes environments.

At Affinity, he advanced from automation specialist to senior consultant, then to Innovation Lead for the company. In that role, he led internal transformation and innovation services for a range of clients, from small boutique firms needing bespoke software solutions to large enterprises requiring strategy, training, and secure integrations.

Mosaic brings that same approach to every engagement: map operational friction, bring the right tools together, and create systems that produce durable business value.

Drew holds a Master's degree in Education and an active Iowa teaching license. That background shapes how he approaches AI adoption: the same way a good teacher approaches curriculum — meeting people where they are, sequencing skills in order, and building habits that last rather than launching tools that get abandoned. His first AI client was Aquifer, a medical education platform, engaged before ChatGPT's public release in late 2022. Drew later co-authored "Unlocking AI's Power in Legal Practice" in the ALFN's spring 2025 publication (ANGLE Vol 12, Issue 2), and is a regular contributor to AI Calibration Weekly, a video series produced by Affinity on practical AI implementation for professionals.

Our Vision

Share in Your Success

We built Mosaic around a simple idea: our incentives should line up with yours. We deliver that through clear, honest commitments — not vague promises to maybe bill you later.

We ask for commitment up front, paid at straightforward hourly rates, so every engagement is properly resourced and accountable from day one. You always know what you're paying for, and we're on the hook to deliver it.

With Fractional AI Leadership, sharing in your success means a real partnership without a long-term lock-in. You reserve the capacity you need month to month and get exactly that — senior help when it matters. When your needs change, the plan changes with you.

What We've Delivered

Client Results

A law firm's real estate practice was spending significant time generating and reviewing transaction documents. Mosaic rebuilt their document automation system using AI — the new workflow runs at roughly half the time of the previous one, and the system is maintained by AI rather than manual upkeep. The team now handles higher volume without adding headcount.

A second law firm needed to move faster on arbitration contentions — a drafting process that had been running close to an hour per matter. Mosaic implemented an AI-assisted drafting workflow that draws on prior arbitrations, references relevant statutes, and improves with each successive draft. Time to complete the first draft dropped to thirty minutes. Quality improved alongside speed.

How We Build

Technical Depth

Mosaic's advisory work is grounded in hands-on building, not just recommendations. Drew works directly with Claude, ChatGPT, and AI APIs; Microsoft Azure and Power Automate; Cloudflare Workers; Model Context Protocol (MCP); LangChain and LangGraph; and n8n — along with AI Skills, Connectors, Plugins, and agent frameworks across these platforms. Knowing what's actually possible in each of these tools is what makes the strategy credible. Clients get advice shaped by the reality of what can be built, not a vendor pitch.

Drew volunteers with the PMI Eastern Iowa Chapter (Project Management Institute). In September 2025, he presented "Job-Seeking in the Age of AI" at a Chapter event, covering resume review tools, AI-assisted applications, and how candidates can stand out in an AI-augmented hiring market. He will present two sessions at the Chapter's Professional Development Day on October 16, 2026 at the Kirkwood Hotel in Cedar Rapids: "Improving Meetings with AI" and "Project Management Systems and AI." Details are available at pmieasterniowa.org/pdd-2026.

Drew has spoken twice at Iowa City West High School's AVID program, meeting with seniors about consulting careers and how AI is reshaping what employers look for across marketing, IT, sales, and office roles. The conversations focused on building professional skills alongside AI fluency — practical preparation for entering a workplace that expects both. Mosaic is connected to the broader regional business community through the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance and Greater Iowa City.
