Software & ERP Migration

Moving to a new ERP, CRM or practice system without losing the history you need or the way your team actually works. We plan the move, clean and map the data, keep the past searchable, and build what makes the new system easier to work in.

Talk About Your Migration What gets lost

How a Migration Works

A migration is a software project, a data project and a people project at once. We run all three, in an order your team can live with.

What Gets Lost in a Migration

A migration is where good process quietly gets lost.

New software rarely fails on features. It fails on the things the old system did that nobody listed, because they lived in people's habits instead of a requirements document.

What Goes MissingHow We Keep It
The undocumented workaroundWe learn the old system from the people who use it, not just its configuration, and carry the workaround forward or replace it on purpose.
The report one person can runWe find the reports leadership relies on and rebuild them before cutover, so nobody discovers the gap at month-end.
History that doesn't fitYears of orders, jobs and records the new data model can't hold go into an archive your team can still search.
Connections to other systemsEvery export, import and integration that touched the old system gets mapped and reconnected, or retired deliberately.
Your team's confidenceSide-by-side checks, training on real work, and tools that make the new system feel familiar sooner.

What Happens to Your Old Data

Not everything should move. Open records and recent history belong in the new system. Older history is often better kept in an archive: complete, searchable, and without a license for software you've left.

A manufacturer changing ERPs needed to keep years of history and help their people work in a new system. We built an archive that mirrors the system they left, so a past job or order is as easy to find as it always was, and built tools that make the new system easier to work in. More on your options for old data.

Note

Migrations cost less than they used to. AI-assisted engineering makes data mapping, conversion and archive building far faster, so a careful migration is within reach of a small or mid-sized business.

Platforms

We've worked in NetSuite and Plex, and alongside CRMs, document and practice management systems, accounting software and the spreadsheets and Access databases that hold a business together. Not sure what to move to yet? We're vendor-neutral and can help you choose.

Pricing

Most of our work is hourly, pay-as-you-go. We don't pass through system or AI time in our bills — you'll only be charged for time that real people spent on the task.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which ERP platforms have you worked in?

We've worked in NetSuite and Plex, and the work itself carries across platforms: understanding how your team really uses the old system, mapping its data to the new one, and keeping what doesn't fit in a form people can still use.

What happens to our old data after an ERP migration?

You choose. Open records and recent history usually move into the new system. Older history can go into a searchable archive that mirrors the system you left, so people can still look up a past order, job or customer without keeping a license for the old software.

How long does a software migration take?

It depends on how much data moves, how many systems connect to it, and how much cleanup the data needs. We scope it with you first, so you know the plan, the order of work and the cutover before anything moves.

Do we have to stop using the old system during the move?

No. Most migrations run old and new side by side for a period, so the team can check the new system against the one they trust before they switch. We plan that overlap as part of the cutover.

How is a migration priced?

Most of our work is hourly, pay-as-you-go. We don't pass through system or AI time in our bills: you'll only be charged for time that real people spent on the task. Tell us what you're moving from and to, and we'll send a proposal.
